“Who’s doing the walking”

“Those were the day’s”

It should say “who’s doing the limping and hobbling” rather than walking. Partially due to three key hole knee surgeries and a bit of bad luck.

I started with the “Great Outdoors” early 2012 at the young age of 39. Since then its been up and down the U.K and a little beyond.

My background for the last 20 years has been in hospitality. As some of you might know, when your in this field, your always nibbling on something and before you know it, the weight piles on until you decide to do something about it.

I decided to explore the great outdoors. To be truthful it was more of a push from my wife. Together we have been up and down the three peaks of the UK and some parts of Europe.

The most breathtaking hike was in 2013. We trekked to Basecamp, the feet of Mount Everest.

I’m going to share some walks with you, with photos guiding you along the way. These are mostly walks around the Peak District and hopefully beyond.

Living in Derby ( shire) , we are surrounded by natural beauty only a short drive away.

Hope you enjoy. So let’s get you, to “walk in my boots”.

Ps, if you are heading back to Derby centre or staying over locally. I’m going to recommend my local restaurant, Pepitos . A well established family friendly Mexican ( Tex Mex ).
